I used to run a CrossFit gym in Dalston. When we closed, I realised the part I couldn't give up was coaching — specifically, coaching women who'd been told fitness had to be complicated, all-or-nothing, or not for them.

Unpaused is about small habits that fit into your actual life. Strength training that makes you feel capable. Nutrition that doesn't involve weighing your rice.

Do I need any experience?

Not at all. We use functional movements that are useful in your day to day life — squats, hinges, pushes, pulls. The kind of strength that carries over into real life. We start exactly where you are and build from there.
Where do sessions take place?

Your local park, your home, or a private gym in Tufnell Park — I bring all the equipment. No gym membership needed, no intimidating floors, no figuring out where anything is. I currently coach in Hackney, Crouch End and Tufnell Park.
What if I'm really unfit?

If you can walk up a flight of stairs, we can work with that. I've never met a starting point I couldn't work with. The first session is always about figuring out where you are — not where you think you should be.
How is this different from a regular gym?

No machines, no gym membership, no intimidating floors. Just barbells, kettlebells and dumbbells — compound movements that are actually useful in real life. Sessions happen where you feel comfortable, and every single one is built around you specifically.
Do I need to be going through perimenopause?
+
Absolutely not — perimenopause is my speciality but not a requirement. I work with women in their 40s at all stages. If you're navigating perimenopause symptoms, I understand that deeply. If you're not, the training and nutrition approach is just as effective.
How quickly will I see results?

Most clients feel a difference within 2–3 weeks — better sleep, more energy, less stiffness. Visible physical changes take longer, typically 6–8 weeks of consistent training. The jump in what you can lift in your first few months will genuinely surprise you.
Can I cancel anytime?
+
Yes — book week by week, no contracts, no hoops. I'd rather you stay because it's working than feel trapped. That said, most clients who start tend to stick around — because once you feel the difference, it's hard to go back.
